Tenant Handbook
Evacuation
If it becomes necessary to evacuate, WALK to the nearest stairway, as shown on the evacuation plan signs near the stairways. WALK DOWN and OUT of the Building and AWAY from the Building to avoid falling glass. Proceed to the safe refuge area located along Maryland, see Exhibit I for details. Do not return to the Building until advised by the Fire Department that it is safe to do so.
- NEVER use elevators – they may become inoperable and will be placed on manual control for the Fire Department.
- Each tenant is required to designate at least one (1) Suite/Floor Warden to be responsible for their tenant area during an emergency.
- Tenants may hold fire drills and practice evacuation of their suite or floor by making prior arrangements with the Office of the Building. Arrangements MUST be made in advance so other tenants may be notified prior to your drill.
